Care and Maintenance
Sourwood is a low-maintenance tree when planted in the proper site conditions.
Water: Requires regular watering during establishment; moderate moisture thereafter.
Mulch: Apply 2-3 inches of mulch to retain moisture and protect the root zone.
Prune: Minimal pruning required; remove dead or damaged branches as required.
Fertilize: Use an acid-loving tree fertilizer in early spring, as needed.
